Hello everyone, I started this car as new project. I studied many things about design of papar model through 4 09' models. And I decided to change my design method. Because I want to make more correct and more detailed. This car is one of my favorite cars. I think this will be very long project. I hope this car will be finished Please. If someone have Jordan 197's seat, gearbox, diffuser and front & rear upright pictures, or 97's formula1 regulation, please tell me. I have some problem Thanks.

Hello! I have been following this forum. Jordan 197 is one of my favorite car of Formula 1. I hope very much you will be able to successfully complete this project. It’s mistake! It’s not Jordan 198, it’s Jordan 197. But it is in paint scheme of ‘99-’00 and tires of 1998. Sorry for my English.

I have model of Jordan 197 from Minichamps in 1/18 scale. I'm not sure of the accuracy of this model. If you want I could make photos and post pictures of parts that you interest. Also I have model from Revell in 1/24 scale. But it is not accurate and has been build is not accurate enough.
Sorry for my English.

to redrain: Thanks for your offer!! I need rear section pictures, especially rear upper arm and front & rear brake duct. And I also have revell kit ;D I attached progress of 197. I have problem about dimensions. I'm working tire and wheel. Now diameter of tire is 27 mm. But calculate from real cars: 27.5 mm (maximum value) and calculate from Tamiya 1/20 F310B: 26.3 mm Please can someone give me a advice. Thanks.

Calcutate always from reality, if you can. Tamiya is not a good reference. I worked now on Ferrari 312B and Tamiya kit is soooo much out of reality! The best thing is to rely on pictures. I always put a picture to ACAD software and overdraw it with lines. So I get the best I could. Here is for instance, how I drew FW30: Of course, there can be problem of finding the right picture, but picture is the best reference. And - of course - official data. But who gives you official data? Many data, which can be find on net are not right, they can differ a little bit from reality.

I searched for F1 regulations from 1997 (rough) and found this: www.grandprix.com/ft/ft00253.html"There will be minimum complete front and rear wheel widths of 12'' and 14'' respectively. The maximum complete wheel width of 15'' remains (Article 12 of 1998 Technical Regulations)." maybe this helps if this is not enough you maybe should try to find the complete regulations from 1997 season...there will be all exact counts

Many thanks for some advice. I will try to rely on pictures at ACAD. By comparison with real car's pictures, I think diameter of tire is more smaller. Yes, Finding good pictures is difficult especially old cars!! I bought more than 10 books for 197 pictures. But still not enough Little progress of 197. Only need nose cone and front wing. Thanks.
