We have to hurry if we ever want to build them and keep up with the speed of Sunny78. He just graciously shared a big model of Niki Lauda's Brabham BT46B and is already working on the next... In between also 2 helmets came available! Now the first developments of the Next, being Elio De Angelis' Lotus 91, are on Sunny's Twitterpage. Follow the links below and enjoy! I saw the BT46, looks absolutely fab. The Senna/Prost 1988 helmets are awesome, too. I'd really love to see the Shoei helmets used by McLaren in '92/93 as paper kits, too. Looking forward to see the Lotus, I really love the JPS era.

Again I see Sunny78 making good progress. Also he shows the use of some cuttingmachine?
Following some links and with Google I found out it's a new machine: the Brother SDX1200. Who know more about it?
Looks nice and interesting but takes away half the fun of paper modelling, I think... On the other hand maybe instead for a laser-cutter?

Who know more about it? Looks nice and interesting but takes away half the fun of paper modelling, I think... On the other hand maybe instead for a laser-cutter? Sunny is using a Silhouette desktop cutting machine for his models. You can see some screenshots from the Silhouette Studio software and also in some cutting videos you see the machine itself. I remember him stating which machine he exactly have, but wasn't able to find it again. However, I believe it is a Silhouette Cameo Sidenote: The Pepakura Software can directly send files to the cutting machine and this is what Sunny also do, if I'm not mistaken. I do have an older Silhouette and it is or was not good working for cutting the models. But judging from Sunny's videos and of course his completed models, the machine he has is working very good for the models! Regarding Laser Cutting Machine vs. "conventional" cutting machine: First thing is probably the price that will be much higher with the laser cutting machine. Other more important thing probably is that you will have burn marks on the parts when using a laser. I don't think you want to have that. So I'm pretty sure that a laser cutting machine makes no sense, except for parts that will be painted after cutting anyway or won't be visible after completing the model, such as rims or frames.

Thanks guys,
I found and got more info and I misread a bit of the specs. It said till 3 mm of material which I interpreted as also cardboard...
So no useful machine for me...
