Thanks buddy, I'm still at it. I'd like to do two paint jobs. One the Fast&Furious orange and another more subtle plain job.

I know the kit and things aren't accurate for the F&F version but I'd like to do it all the same.

There'll be no interior on it as I'm not sure about modelling it. I'll work on that part of my modelling.

That would be cool as creating textures isn't my strong point. Do you paint them after unfolding or when the model is still in a 3D program?

Yeah I'm a fan of the Fast and Furious films, just for the cars really. Not too hot on the stories. I have a Lancer Evo VIII in the works and a Skyline.

Here's a shot of it rendered, I've cleaned up alot of the unwanted objects.


If you can help me with painting this thing I'd be greatful.

Ok, Did a bit more this morning. Changed the headlights as I didn't like the plain ones. Added a few textures too, I downloaded pics of headlights and tail lights, a grill for the radiator. I'm thinking of adding some carbon fibre maybe to the hood?

I'm also going off the F&F Supra idea too. I saw a banged up Ford Escort drive by earlier with a F&F vinyl on the side and it looked terrible.

Hey Daniyal, if you fancy doing me some body paint then let me know. I can do brand decals and plain things but anything more and I'm not too great.

I paint em after unfolding.. cuz i dun really make models. Carbon fibre fer hood is a great idea! hey, u know i went on this forum yesterday n some provided texture fer da supra. dunno bout body paint, but they did hav lights and breakes n tires. anyways, i guess i can hook you up with some tribal art vinyl or stuff like that with reverse fade effects n all. Lemme know. Hey, hav u made any cars b4??

Nope. Never did a car before. I love cars but as models go I always stuck with Scifi. You know Star Wars and stuff.

I found Cornells Aston Martin and thought I'd have a go.

Well because of my final base paint I textured it in Truespace, you couldn't really do this post unfolding as the fade effect wouldn't line up all over the car. Here's a pic.


I have a carbon texture. I'll add a pic for ya. It doesn't go with the paint job though.


I'll add other details after it's unfolded, brand decals and maybe a tribal vinyl or something on the side.

Awesome pics! yea ur right, the fade effect wont be in-line with photoshop paint. I got some great tribal vinyls out here, well,not only tribal but racing, etc. If you had to apply tribal vinyl, why not do it before unfolding? it will line up better and will adapt to the curves n folds. This supra makes me heart throb!

good, but you should make carbon spoiler and mirrors, some roof scop and painted wheels

It's not my model anymore dude. I handed it to Daniyal after hearing how keen he was on it. I'm a little busy with other things anyway so at least someone gets to finish it right?
