It's been a while since I posted something in my buil of the Williams FW42. Well it hasn't died... The nose-section is done: The body-section, with the difficult halo, is done too: And the already bottom/floor-section: Make together this: And the it's time to do the (rear-)suspension. Starting with the brakes. I did not use the tabs but made a butt-joint instead. Makes nicer rounded curves... First mark the topdirection on the discs, before cutting! Then add a strip of papaer with the same width. Length is not important. Form a cilinder and there is a hardly visible seam. Then the disc can be set in the right directions, using the markings: And all parts together make this pair: As is visisble I often use the butt-joint at small parts. And all installed:

Congratulations Robert.
Wonderful! Another good example of the 'beasts' from the Greatest Era of F1!
You gonna publish it where?

Continued building my model of the FW42 and finished these groups: Rearwing Frontwing Which made me having to use the smallest parts I ever did! But they came out fine, I think, considering my model is enlarged from A4 to A3, say at 141%... I wonder how the 1/24-builders did that! Bargeboards Here also some very small parts and all together a complex construction showing clearly the complexitiy of the nowadays F1-cars aeropack.

Nice Robert,
One you have to print on glossy paper... Also nice to see it along the RB-9 and Ferrari in your album.

Looks absolutely stunning!! Cars during the naturally aspirated transition era were very interesting to look at.
