great idea Robert! hopefully I can join building your car later just one question about the development of such wheels: does the bevel of the sidewall need to be minded when the construction is made!? I mean is the size of the sidewall different to a flat sidewall!?

I mean is the size of the sidewall different to a flat sidewall!? Yes, this kind of bulge sides are constructed as a frustrum of a cone, so they are bigger on the paper then after forming. That's why they are cut and have to be joined after forming using additional glue tab.

Did the bottomplate also... With no edgecoloring: And Edgecoloring done.... It shows dramatically in the pictures, but is very less apparant in the real thing! Found no real problems. 2 points: -Folding and glueing (and edgepainting) the diffusor-part is rather fiddely. Should be considered to make it in several pieces with the vanes as seprate parts. -The vertical vanes at the bottomfront are the same size. The vane on the upperpart could be some lower being inside and on top op de lower part. Now there exists a mismatch of the paper-thickness (160 gr/m2) and trimming is difficult at that area. Robert, you can come with the next!

Nice build -Folding and glueing (and edgepainting) the diffusor-part is rather fiddely. Should be considered to make it in several pieces with the vanes as seprate parts. Yes, this is a possibility, but I think, the way I did it can be easily done with the help of sharp tweezers. I consider paper thickness 0,125mm when I make flat states of the parts - and according to my experience it is OK when 120g paper is used. The outer parts of the diffuser cannot be shorter in vertical direction - just because they should reach above the duffuser lower zigzag folding. As I see your and my build and another guys builds - it looks OK on pictures anyway. Yes I know I am just thinking about it...............

Just to let you know I did not give it up - this is how it looks now on my screen. Sidepods are really not easy to build up to look like I want them to look like

It does look difficult. Glad you're still working on it.

Robert, With you being the designer it should be no "problem". And it's always nice to get some sort of a challenge! Hey, we're talking Formula 1< in paper.... Just to let you know I did not give it up - this is how it looks now on my screen. Sidepods are really not easy to build up to look like I want them to look like
