The result was definitely worth the effort.

Hello Povar,
Have you seen most, if not all, pictures in this topic are gone? Could this be at your picture-hoster or is a RPM-board-thing?
Who can tell.... Luckily I stored most of them already on my hd.

As promised to Povar I do a testbuild of his model of the Ferrari 412. Here's the first part. The file came to me as a PDF by email and I printed it on 160 gr/m2 normal white paper: so no gloss. The colours are some less bright due to this... Nevertheless the prints came out fine after increasing the contrast and saturation by 15% on my printer. I followed in the build the partsnumbers as much as possible. Sofar I found no real trouble or mistakes. Fitting was most OK, just at rearwingsupport little adjustment and cutting was needed to make it fit along the outside of the gearbox. Here Povar didn't take the paperthickness in account. Although a testbuild I used waterpaint to do the edgecoloring. This certainly increases the qualitye and good looks of this and all papermodels. Here are some pictures from the seperate units one makes with the first 25 parts. Parts 1-13 - the top of the undertray. Parts 1-13 - the undertray at the rear/diffusor. Parts 14-19 - the rearwing. Parts 20-24 - the frontwing. OK... part 24 is not there yet... Next episode will follow.... someday...

The picture-hoster with all my previous pics in this subject had gone PT, your assembly looks very good! I like it! Go on this way! I hope you will enjoy with this model. I will correct adjustment bugs, that you'd point on.

But now it is! Part 24 .... Time for the next step. The driverseat required some adjustment. It came out a bit too long. Cutting away the edges by following the red dotted line made it fit in the thingypit. The seperate parts of the thingypit unit: On the steeringwheel I added a little tube of rolled paper of 3-4 mm as the steer-axle.This little thing is not in the kit, yet... All together now: See you at the next episode!

Extra remarks: Having just the parts and no instructions it's sometimes a little journey in the mind of Povar... How did he design it to make it fit properly and how to build the parts together..? For instance at the drivers-seat. I decided to glue the yellow seat first on the black-white headrest. Next came the yellow top of the headrest. Otherwise could it have been that Povar choose to fit the 2 yellow parts together first and them on the headrest... Either way it can be done!
I'm shure Povar will respond if I go wrong, or just another way, causing a bad fit. Sofar so good!

Thingypit = "c-o-c-k-pit". It seams Proboards does not accept the first 4 signs...;-)

Hi Ponytail, I watch your assembly of this car, you make a very nice work. I put here the result of my test build. I like very much how Povar designed this model.

I was getting so enthousiatic in building I forgot to make some pics of my progressions. Nevertheless: Parts 39-46 make the mainbody of the car. No serious fitting or construction problems anyway. Still it is a difficult part due to it's rounded shapes en especially the inlets need special attention. They are The Face of this car! On the bottom, and later de top, you'll find the biggest challenge. I found best it is to bend and roll part 40 in the right shape. Along a metal rod I rolled the edges rounded upwards. When done right the fitting almost automatically becomes good. And then some very careful 'edge-glueing' is needed! What I hate about these close-ups is that they show hardly visible stains and mistakes so dramatically BIG! ;D
