Grand Prix 3 is a car racing game by Micropose. It is possible to create and/or edit carshapes with a software called: GP3 CarShape Editor This software is quite easy to use. The models are detailed but not much, and don't have too many faces. Who knows how to convert these models onto paper ? I will post more details and links later.

Gp3 Carshapeditor is no more available on internet. Here are a few screenshots: As you can see, this is a very easy to use 3d software, using points, lines and triangles. The models can be saved onto *.cs3 files only. Who knows any link between these *.cs3 files and any other 3d software ?

I tried, so I installed the editor, but i didn't had a decrypted GP3 file or something. So I installed it, but the program is asking again for a decrypted file when i want to import from the .EXE, because i can't find the cars

Hi, The Conversion GP3 car racing game >> Paper model doesn't work. But the textures from car racing games such as rFactor are useful.

Hi, I am a modder of the Rfactor. The models in the Rfactor are so much compliccated, that they are not good for papercraft. Even there are 3 or 4 different levels of polygones, no way to transform them into unfold them. The modders use a different structure to build up the models, and the papercrafts need an other method. When you make your paper model in 3d, you already have to think how will you unfold it. The Rfactor and F1 Challenge models can be good as a reference, but don't forget, that they are made after some photos, and the modders can have misstakes too. The Rfactor files can be opened with gMotor 2.0 MAS Utility, you can download from here: www.rfactor.net/index.php?page=devcorner After you open the mas files, you will have the GMT files. They have the models. The textures are in the dds. To edit them in Photoshop you need the plugin from here: developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.htmlTo edit the GMT, the best is to use the 3dsimed. www.sim-garage.co.uk/Or 3ds max with the import GMT ( use with max 7-8-9 ) you can download from here. www.racingfr.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=25364I hope it helps. Godd work, and I hope we see soon good papercrafts.
