thanks rickstef. i do tape them because glue makes a mess in my paint smear and changes color faid if i offeneded you i'm sorry. you don't have to build it if you don't want too.
and i don't use tabs on my models either. i cut the tape into small strips and tape them very carefully. to answer all your questions. to make it look very neat.

thats how i do the realy small bits the you just cant cut the tabs on, you know, when yove got a part that has a thin line on it, but has lots of tabs either side, and you just end up cutting them in half. they are so annoying. ;D
