Depending on how into racing you guys are, I just thought that some of you might enjoy taking a break from building paper models every once and awhile and enjoy some nice racing simulations. I know that some of the guys at Cardmodels.net have mentioned playing Il-2 Forgotten Battles which is a very nice WWII aircraft simulator for the computer. Anyways, I have the Codemasters game ToCA Race Driver 2. It's a hell of a lot of fun. You can race open wheels, vintage classics, rally racing, DTM, V8 Supercar, stock cars, and several others. As far as I can tell they REALLY did their homework as far as making the driving physics as realistic as possible. They also make some great rally racing games that are mindblowing in graphics and realistic physics called Colin McCrae Rally. If you drive in dirt, your car gets dirty. If you drive through a river, your car gets wet and looks cleaner. If you flip your car, doors fly off, hoods poop open, and glass shatters. You progress through the game just as you would in a rally race. If you smash up your car, you have to pay to get it fixed, and sometimes you wont be able to afford every wreck. They're coming out with a new game also that looks, quite simply, amazing. You can look for yourselves if you'd like. www.codemasters.com/games/?gameid=1752screenshots like this one make me drool: www.codemasters.com/games/uploadedimages/s_crash.jpgSo anyways, I just thought that since the plane fanatics have their game, we racers should be able to have our games too. Happy Racing and Happy Modeling, Dustin

Hey guys, I want to say hello to everyone it this forum! I am happy to see such a specialized forum for paper racing cars! There should be more of suchlike forums. And I'm just curious, is this forum just for racing cars? I.e., can I post paper "civilian" cars here? Offcourse, no military ones, because there are cardmodel forums for that Well, I am specialized in paper planes, but I am eager to try some racing cars. My dream is to get that superb Tatra Dakar truck designed by Czech Bernie (do you know him?). It is hard and expensive to get models from those e-shops to my country - Lithuania. Hell, I don't know anybody in this forum, except both guys above - Rick and Dustin, because they are from Cardmodels forum:). I hope I will familiarize with you soon. Now I want to stop my offtopics and return to the one about computer games. I love racing games as well as war strategy and aircraft simulation. I will talk about racing simulations at all. Not only products from Codemasters. I have played TOCA, TOCA2 and TOCA3 both on PC and Xbox. They all are great, but the TOCA3 is the best, because it has soooo many modes!!! - Vintage, Monster trucks, all types of Nascar, many types of Dirt, GT, F3, DTM, BMW Adac and many more... And since those games are not ultrarealistic simulations I prefer driving them in front of television. From Rally games I love CMRally - especially, the 2005 version, because it is the best of all previous versions. It has so many cars and tracks, that you cannot even imagine. I prefer playing this one on XBOX. Richard Burns Rally is a hardcore simulation - don't try it if you don't have a high quality wheel. It is absolutely not suitable for playing on XBOX - gamepad is not a car's wheel And my new discovery on xbox - Nascar 06 - Total Team Control. The newest Nascar game with loads of features and cars/tracks. The best feature is teamwork, when, i.e. weaker teammates help you by blocking opponents, doing drafting and so on. But my conclusion is, that the best racing simulator ever developed is Forza Motorsport (just on XBOX). This is a real chef-d’oeuvre, like Grand Turismo series on Playstation. Forza (note the grade, just the "saint" games get above 9 in this respected game magazine - gamespot) - www.gamespot.com/xbox/driving/forzamotorsport/index.html?q=forza It would be a sin, if you have xbox and don't have this game. Thats all. Good luck! -- P.S. Rick, do you have X360?
